DEAN OF STUDENTS ANNOUNCED
Caribbean School is proud to announce that John Carpenter will be joining the school administration as Dean of Students for the 2017-18 school year. Carpenter has studied at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, Brown University in Providence, RI and the University of Dublin, Trinity College in Ireland. He has served as Dean of Students for the summer program for talented youth at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, as Associate Dean of Students at Saint Stephen’s and St. Agnes School in Alexandria, VA for ten years, as Head of the Middle School at Chase Collegiate School in Waterbury, CT, for three years and as Head of the Middle School at the Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School in Saint Louis, MO for five years. He has also served as a freelance writer and educational consultant. Carpenter’s duties at Caribbean School begin July 1, where he will supervise all areas of student life, including the code of conduct, activities, sports and student services.
DEAN OF ACADEMICS ANNOUNCED
Caribbean School is proud to announce that Blake Wilson will be joining the school administration as Dean of Academics for the 2017-18 school year. With degrees from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, Portland State University in Portland, OR and Goddard College in Plainfield, VT, Wilson comes to Caribbean School from the Bement School in Deerfield, MA, where he has served as Department Head (math) for eleven years and Dean of Students for four years. With teaching experience in kindergarten through high school, Wilson has designed and implemented curriculum and enrichment programs for both schools and software companies. Wilson’s duties at Caribbean School begin July 1, where he will supervise all academic areas of the school’s program, including curriculum development, faculty mentoring and professional development.
