Enrollment

The Caribbean School seeks students able to benefit from a challenging college preparatory experience. Students in all grades are admitted on the basis of an entrance examination, maturity, school records, interviews, and other overall measures of future academic success. As an independent school, Caribbean School does not discriminate on the basis of sex, creed, race, color, national or ethnic origin.

Beginning in January of the year, potential students may register for the following August. Enrollment is also open for new students for Pre-Kindergarten; limited seats are available in other grades. After passing the entrance examinations, available seats are offered.

After entrance tests, parents of all students are required to provide:

  • A vaccination certificate (Puerto Rico Green Form)
  • The social security number
  • Original birth certificate or passport
  • School transcript
  • Recommendation letters
  • The application form and two photos

Registration is completed only when all the items are completed.

Students who are already enrolled must re-enroll for the subsequent year before February 14th. Until this date these students receive preferential enrollment status.

The school year in the Caribbean School extends from the first week of August until the last week of May. The school day begins at 8:00 a.m.; dismissal for the Elementary School is at 2:45 p.m. and for the Middle/Upper School at 3:00p.m.
